About Us

Kimberly Baker:
I am currently a student at the University of Utah studying Human Development and Family Studies. I will be receiving my Bachelors Degree this coming May. I am excited to put to use what I have learned in college for the very purpose of helping others. I am 24 years old and have learned a lot through the development of my career and am eager to share it with others. I also plan to go on and receive a certificate in both Family Life Education and Gerontology. I enjoy studying in the areas of health and wellness and for this blog I will be providing you with information you can put to use in your own families. Although, I do not have a family of my own, what I can offer is to give you the information I have learned throughout my years in college and the personal experience with being a teenager myself not too long ago.

Tami Hansen:
I am a wife of 26 years, a mother to three amazing children, and currently a student at the University of Utah!  Twenty years ago I left the university setting to raise my family and now I have returned to complete my degree.  I must say it is an adjustment in thinking, but one I absolutely love! I bring my life experiences with me to the field of Human Development where I am gaining training and certification as a Family Life Educator.  I am hoping to use my experience to help individuals in my community navigate their ever changing roles.

Peggy Hawthorne:
I am a current student at the University of Utah in the Family and Consumer Studies Department.  I am looking forward to receiving degrees in Consumer and Community Studies, and Human Development and Family Studies this Spring.   My goal is to share positive information on parenting a teen successfully.   I am a mom to three wonderful children and two granddaughters.  My interest in teens comes from currently raising  two children in their mid teens and surviving it!

Tiffany Taylor:I am currently a student at the University of Utah. I will receive my Bachelors degree in May in Human Development and Family Studies. I am 24 years old and I have been married for a year. Although I do not have any children of my own, I am excited to use what I have learned through my education to provide information to others. The teenage years are hard for both parent and teenager so it is helpful to have good information available.
